Book Review: Slugfest by Gordon Korman

Yash, clearly one of the best athletes in the history of Robinette Middle School, faces an unexpected hurdle in graduating Middle School. He is actually such a super jock that he plays in the High School football team. And this is where the trouble starts… Yash is shocked to discover that this special assignment has left him no credit for his P.E, class, leading him to not fulfill a state-mandated request for eighth-grade and with that jeopardizing his graduation. The only solution? Summer School for Physical Education dubbed as “Slugfest.”

History research: World War II and the persecution of jews
